Maisha Magic East in partnership with Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) offered hundreds of Nairobi residents a free concert during the very first Maisha Magic Festival on Saturday May 4, 2019. The main objective of the event was to celebrate the growth of local content on television in Kenya.

Kenyans were treated to a full day of fun and even had the chance to spend the day with some of their favorite actors, actresses and producers from programs that air on Maisha Magic East.

Maisha Magic East Channel Manager Margaret Mathore assured fans of the channel’s unwavering commitment to continuing to serve the best local content.

“This festival is not only a celebration of our actors who are now household names in the industry, but also of our subscribers who have remained loyal forever. Maisha Magic East has become very popular throughout East Africa thanks to the support of our viewers. The Maisha Magic Festival is a great experience to make our offering tangible to our subscribers as we strive to improve the experience and engagement of our customers, ”Ms. Mathore said.

Some of the celebrities from popular Maisha Magic East shows including Selina, Varshita, Hullabaloo Estate, Nyanya Rukia, Pambio Live, The Turn Up and Our Perfect Wedding were in attendance. The day was also filled with music and dancing from artists such as Khaligraph Jones, Naiboi, Mercy Masika, Bahati, Hart the Band, Elani, Bensoul, Jabidii, Moji Short Baba, DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Ruff and more.

Over the past three years, Maisha Magic East has launched local content on her channel. Some of them include the award-winning Selina which won the award for Best Drama Television Series at the Kalasha 2018, Pete, a Swahili telenovela produced on the coast of Kenya, Maza, a Swahili soap produced in the coastal region, Varshita , Sue na Johnnie among others.

Maisha Magic East is available on DStv channel 158 and GOtv channel 4.
