A lucky couple from Sydney have scooped over $4million in a ‘stunning’ Powerball win that changed their lives.
A Western Sydney couple have pocketed over $4.5million after winning the Powerball.
The Hills Shire couple said they had a hunch last Thursday’s “stunning” victory could be them after learning someone from the Quakers Hill area had won.
“My husband heard someone from Quakers Hill won the Powerball. We buy our tickets at Quakers Hill regularly, so he started thinking it might be us,” the man’s wife said.
“He waited for me to come home that night so we could check the ticket together. He really thought we had won and then he convinced me of it too!
Australia’s new multi-millionaires said they were shaking with excitement, calling the victory a “completely life-changing” event.
“This is amazing. We found this the other night and have had butterflies ever since! they said.
“Until we see the funds in our bank account, I don’t think we’re going to believe it. This is a life changing amount to be won! »
The parents plan to spend their prize on bills and help their children.
“The rest we want to save for our retirement so we can have fun and live a little!” they said.
Regular Powerball participants took part in the 1358 draw at a Quakers Hill news agency late last week.
Quakers Hill News Agency owner Sumit Kumar said he was delighted the lucky couple bought their golden ticket from his store.
“I was thrilled when I found out we had sold the Powerball Premier Division,” he said.
“It was such a fantastic moment for us.
“We are so happy with them. We hope that this victory will make all their dreams come true!
